5. ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The Secretary, Treasurer, Computer Registrar, Website Officer, Honourary
Legal Advisor and Members of Committee shall be elected at the Annual
General Meeting and, subject to termination of office by resignation or
otherwise, shall remain in such office until their successors are appointed at
the next Annual General Meeting following their appointment. The
Committee shall have power to co-opt other members as they deem
necessary. Theretiring officerand othermembersoftheComrnittee shall be
eligible for re-election. Nomination for office shall be notified to the
Secretary 21 clear days prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting.CONTENTS
 
6. COMMITTEE
The Committee shall consist of not less than five and not more than twelve
members, exclusive of the Secretary, Treasurer, Computer Registrar,
Website OffIcer and Honourary Legal Advisor who shall be ex-officio
members of the Committee. The Committee shall elect a Chairman from
among its own members. Five members of the Committee shall form a
quorum. The Committee shall encompass as wide a geographical .
composition as possible.
The Committee shall have the power to appoint a Sub-Committee of not less
than three persons to meet on its behalf in respect of any matter which is
specifically referred to such a Sub-Committee.CONTENTS
 
7. MEETINGS OF COMMITTEE
The Committee shall meet whenever summoned by the Secretary who may
convene a meeting at his/her own accord, or shall do so when directed by the
Chairman or on a requisition signed by five members of the Committee.CONTENTS
 
8. DUTIES OF SECRETARY
It shall be the duty of the Secretary to attend in person or by deputy all
meetings of the Federation and all meetings of the Committee, and take
minutes of the proceedings. Such minutes shall be entered in a Minute Book
and presented for conformation at thefollowing meeting. In addition a copy
of the minutes of each meeting will be posted to each Committee member as
soon as possible following the conclusion of each meeting.CONTENTS
 
9. BANKING
All monies of the Federation shall be dealt with by the Treasurer in the name
of the Federation in accordance with the rules laid down by the Committee.CONTENTS
 
10. ELECTION OF MEMBER BODIES
Applications from Bodies for membership of the Federation shall be submitted
to the Committee by the Secretary and the election of such Bodies shall be
at the discretion of the Committee. Subject to:
(a) Such Body maintain Probationary status for such period of time as shall be
decided by the Committee prior to be admitted to full membership of the
Federation.
(b) Any Member Body which has been notified of its election and fails to pay its
subscription within one calendar month of such notification shall again be
requested by the Treasurer to pay the same. If it fails to make payment
within fourteen days thereafter, its election shall be deemed null and void.
No newly elected Member Body shall be entitled to any of the privileges of
membership until after payment of its frst subscription.CONTENTS
 
11. VOTING AT COMMITTEE MEETINGS
Each member present at a meeting of the Committee shall be entitled to exercise
one vote. The Chairman shall not vote except in the exermse of a casting vote.
The Committee shall vote by Ballot if any member present so demands.CONTENTS
 
12. SUBSCRIPTION
The Annual Subscription shall be payable as from the 1st. September in any
given year and shall be such sum as may be decided at the Annual General
Meeting of the year immediately prior there to.CONTENTS
